A real self-runner: automation at Rejlek

Sometimes everything runs by itself. We know this not only from life, but in the best case also from our everyday working lives. If you let machines support you – especially in production – to carry out simple but essential tasks automatically, you have your hands free for more important things. In this article, you can read about the benefits of automation, where it can be used and how Rejlek can support you here.

Where can automation bring benefits?

Rapid technological progress means that machines are becoming increasingly intelligent and can take on more and more complex tasks. The more work steps that can be automated, the higher the output in production. Automation in the right places therefore offers our customers a considerable advantage, as parts can be produced in higher quantities with the same quality and at a lower cost.

With regard to Rejlek’s core business – the production of stamped and injection-molded parts – the preferred area of application for automation can be divided into the following areas:

  • Hybrid part production: Automation can save a lot of time wherever several production technologies need to be combined. In the production of a motor connector for an electric car, for example, a removal robot can transfer the part from the punching press directly into the injection mold and then remove it again.
  • Upstream process steps: If there are certain activities that need to be carried out immediately before the production process, fully automated systems can also provide support. For example, when separating and preparing necessary components that are delivered in bulk beforehand.
  • Downstream process steps: Even after the main part of the manufacturing process, there are often still work steps to be carried out. For example, an assembly and testing automation system automatically removes the part, adds the appropriate supplement (e.g. a seal), assembles it and then tests the completed part for functionality.
  • Packaging: It is not uncommon for finished parts not to be touched by hand due to hygiene regulations, for example in the case of medical products. Thanks to automation technology, the packaging process can be carried out fully automatically and without human intervention.

A strong partner like Rejlek is therefore not only important for supplying the hardware and software required for your automation project.
